We raise every animal as if it were going to be fed at our table—because some of them are.

Our cattle receive routine vaccinations, health care, vitamins, and minerals to support their health and well-being throughout their lives. We believe good cattle start with good management, careful observation, and a commitment to doing things right.

Our cattle graze Florida pastures consisting of Bahia grass, Bermuda grass, Hermathria, clover, and Lespedeza, along with other forages suited to our environment. We use legumes whenever possible and manage our pastures to provide the nutrition our cattle need to thrive.

For cattle destined for the freezer, a proper finishing program is essential. Our cattle receive a carefully managed finishing ration that has included soy hull pellets and corn gluten, with animals typically finished for more than 180 days. The result is well-finished Hereford beef with the marbling, tenderness, and flavor our customers expect.

Hereford beef is known for its tenderness, flavor, and excellent marbling. Evergreen offers grain-finished freezer beef available by the quarter, half, or whole animal.
